We all say we’re building something for God, but sometimes our hands aren’t clean.
Not with dirt, but with pride, comparison, or the need to be noticed.

In Scripture, hands represent our work; what we do, what we touch, what we pour ourselves into.

But Psalm 24:3–4 reminds us:
“Who may stand in the presence of the Lord? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart.”

God isn’t just watching what we build. He’s watching the heart behind it.
You can’t build something for God while carrying the wrong motives.

Before you post, plan, or move forward, pause and check your hands.
Ask Him to purify your motives and steady your heart.
Because Kingdom work doesn’t start with what’s in your hands. It starts with what’s in your heart.

Take Moses, for example:
God asked him, “What’s that in your hand?” (Exodus 4:2)
Moses said, “A staff.”
But before the staff ever became powerful, Moses had to surrender his heart, his fear, his insecurity, his excuses.

The staff in his hand became useful only after the obedience in his heart.

So, the hands matter but the heart gives them purpose.

Strength in Surrender

Some seasons don’t drain you because you’re doing something wrong, they drain you because you’re doing something holy.

You can be in alignment and still be exhausted.
Because even obedience has a weight to it.

Moses felt it.
Elijah felt it.
Nehemiah felt it.
They weren’t weak - they were human.
And God didn’t scold them for being tired.
He met them there.

So if you’ve been showing up, praying through, doing the work,
and wondering why it still feels heavy, don’t confuse the weight of your calling with the absence of His grace.

🕊️ “Let us not grow weary in doing good,
for in due season we will reap — if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9

You’re not failing.
You’re just at the point where God takes over.
You’re not done
you’re just under construction.
